Aircraft went thru a fence . Several rips and tears in the fabric from
barb wire .
Below pic you can see the lower longeron tube bent in and up.
The left gear colapsed and the left
wing received substancial damage.
The left side of the fuselage received moderate damage to the steel tubing structure.
The propeller struck the ground the wood blades seperated.
Cracked and broken tubing around welds.
Left wing damage. Got the aileron and flap too !
The MT propeller didn't fair well . We removed the engine and sent
to Lycon for teardown and inspection . The report : there was no internal damage and the engine will be reassembled and
shipped back to us.
Fuselage bolted into our holding fixture.
Left side : several tubes bent ! The left gear leg tubing failed
due to striking something and crushing the tubing . The mounting points were not damaged.
With the fuselage in the holding fixture we can take accurate measurements.
We straightened what we could and cut out and splice in the rest.
Started to add the dacron covering to the lower fuselage.
Now we are gluing the dacron on the fuselage. We sewed together two 72"
pieces of dacron to make the fuselage cover. The sewn seam is on the top .
Two new "factory built" gear legs , covered thru PolyBrush .
Factory "kit" wing is being finished on a bench . Fuel tank is
in and we are starting to close it up .

Below: We recovered the left elevator . there was no structural damage to address.

Fuselage covered and surface tapes applied .
Left flap. aileron and elevator are in Aerothane top coat.
Third coat of PolyBrush .
New wing painted and ready to install .
Fuselage painted and trim colors applied.
Tail group assembled and inspection covers installed .
Wings on !
Ready to drop some "plumbs" and check to make sure all is as it
should be .
Windshield is installed..
Engine back from Lycon and installed. New MT propeller is installed.
All done ? Not yet ! Seats go in Monday and a run
up - ops check of all systems and then the operational flight check .
Operational flight check went very well !
We'll call this one FINISHED !
